After more than 10 years housed in the Policlínica San Antonio, in May 2008 the Quirónsalud Assisted Reproduction Center of Bilbao moved to its current site, located in the iconic ‘El Tigre' building. The facility has more than 1,000 m2 and state-of-the-art technology, is the largest assisted-reproduction facility in the Basque country, and uses the latest assisted-reproduction techniques.

Since it first opened in January 2010, Hospital Quirónsalud Vizcaya has retained its headquarters in Bilbao and is functionally integrated with the Gynecology, Obstetrics and Assisted Reproduction Department at the new hospital, which also has a birthing area (equipped with four labor rooms and two delivery rooms), a neonatology unit with the only neonatal ICU in the private Basque health care system, and 24-hour General and Pediatric Emergency Department.

Quirónsalud Bilbao currently performs more than 1,000 cycles of different techniques of assisted reproduction per year, and is the assisted reproduction facility most widely used in Euskadi and the surrounding communities according to information from the Spanish Fertility Society Registry.

Since 2001, Quirónsalud Bilbao has also had undergraduate and postgraduate education programs in gynecology and human assisted reproduction.
