MAIN FIELDS OF INTEREST

As ophthalmic surgeon I have plenty of experience performing most of the glaucoma surgeries (trabeculectomy, non penetrating deep-sclerectomy, drainage devices, trabecular iStent implants, goniosinequiolysis, iTrack canaloplasty, XEN implant, cyclophotocoagulation) and Anterior Segment surgeries (Cataract surgery with special intererest in toric and multifocal IOLs, ICL, Artisan-Artiflex lenses for aphaquia, pterygium surgery with conjunctival autograft, IOLs explantation surgeries, basic oculoplastic surgeries).

I trained ophthtalmology residents at Hospital de la Vall d’Hebron during their Glaucoma rotation. Four of them have became Glaucoma Specialists as well.

I have written three book chapters (nanoftalmos, cataract surgery in glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma Surgery: iStent), given over 50 scientific presentations in local and international Ophthalmological Meetings and have won a first place oral communication award (Yag Iridectomy in Pigmentary glaucoma, 2007) and a first place video award (iStent implantation technique, 2011) in the Catalan Ophthalmology Society congress. I have been the director of an annual wetLab cataract surgery course focused on solving complications at Alcon-Spain from 2005 to 2016. I have coorganized and participated in many Glaucoma Courses and symposiums, as well as in live Surgery congresses and virtual congresses.
