In the Clinical Nutrition Unit, we provide nutritional support and counselling to healthy people as well as those suffering from different pathologies.
We perform an evaluation of the nutritional state of patients through anthropometric, biochemical and dietary studies.
We generated personalised dietary recommendations for athletes, pregnant women, children, menopausal women and the elderly.
We provide nutritional support for people suffering a wide variety of pathologies: digestive (inflammatory diseases, food intolerances, celiac disease, intestinal resections...), metabolic (diabetes, obesity, hyperlipidaemias...), cardiovascular (high blood pressure), renal and liver insufficiency. In addition, we carry out personalised and collective nutritional education through consultation and free talks at the Hospitals Outpatient Consultations. In this sense, we work within the group created at Hospital Quirónsalud Valencia for Integral Health Promotion and Neurocoaching.
The function of the professionals in the Nutrition Unit is to help Hospital Quirónsauld patients to maintain a correct nutrition during their hospital stay, since an adequate nutrition contributes to the reduction of complications associated to the disease, reduce the duration of their stay and, without a doubt, improve the patient’s quality of life.
