Doctor Casellas has ample experience in his medical specialisation, Digestive System, more specifically, Endoscopy. Since 1992, he has been part of the Digestive Endoscopy Unit team at Hospital General Universitario in Alicante, and has been the head of the Unit since 2006. He is currently the Head of the Advanced Digestive Endoscopy Unit at Quirónsalud Alicante.

Training
Doctor Casellas graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Alicante. He completed his specialisation in Digestive System as a Resident at Hospital General Universitario in Alicante. In 2002, he obtained the graduated with honours cum laude as Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Miguel Hernández, and received the extraordinary award for his Doctoral Thesis the same year.
Recognition and publications
Doctor Casellas is a collaborating lecturer at the Department of Anatomy and Histology of the School of Medicine at Universidad Miguel Hernández. He is a member of the Sociedad Médico-Quirúrgica de Alicante [Medical-Surgical Society of Alicante], the Asociación Española de Gastroenterología [Spanish Gastroenterology Association], the Sociedad Española de Patología Digestiva [Spanish Society for Digestive Pathology] and the Sociedad Española de Endoscopia Digestiva [Spanish Society for Digestive Endoscopy]. He has written multiple publications and given presentations at congresses throughout his career, both nationally and internationally. In 2018, the Sociedad Española de Endoscopia Digestiva awarded him its Gold Medal.
