Intragastric balloon

Intragastric balloon is a treatment against obesity without surgery. The aim is to create a feeling of early satiety, which when combined with a low-calorie diet leads to a significant weight loss.

There are intragastric balloons with different indications depending on the time they must be implanted. These times vary from 3 months to 12 months. Their implantation is done under sedation and endoscopic route. This operation does not last more than one hour and the patient does not need hospitalisation.
