Test de prevención de Diabetes II

¿A quién va dirigido?

Nuestros expertos recomiendan especialmente el test a todas aquellas personas con antecedentes familiares de diabetes, con antecedentes de alteraciones de la glucosa en sangre, o que sufren de obesidad, hipertensión arterial o colesterol. También a aquellas mujeres que han tenido diabetes durante embarazos anteriores o niños con peso al nacer superior a 4kg.

¿En qué consiste?

Este test incluye el análisis de 16 genes de predisposición a diabetes tipo II.

1. Te extraeremos una simple muestra de sangre.
2. En tan sólo 15 días tendrás los resultados del análisis.

¿Por qué es recomendable realizarse el test?

Se calcula que en este momento hay hasta un 50% de personas con esta enfermedad sin diagnosticar. Detectar una posible predisposición a padecerla, permite anticiparse a cualquier complicación e iniciar un tratamiento lo más eficaz posible. Y es que la diabetes afecta a órganos tan necesarios como los riñones, la vista, el corazón o el sistema nervioso.

Esta prueba o test será subcontratada con un laboratorio ajeno al Grupo Quirónsalud, laboratorio que
será el responsable de los resultados obtenidos e informados.

Who is it for?

Our experts recommend the test especially for people with a family history of diabetes, people with high blood sugar in the past, obese individuals, hypertensive people, and those with high cholesterol. The test is also beneficial for women who have had gestational diabetes or have had children who weighed more than 4 kg at birth.

What does it involve?

This test analyzes 16 genes that may predispose people to type 2 diabetes.

Why is it advisable to have this test done?

It is estimated that up to 50% of the people with the disease are currently undiagnosed. If a person is found to be prone to developing the disease, detection may make it possible to avert complications and start the patient on the most effective treatment available. Early detection is key, as diabetes affects the kidneys, our ability to see, and our heart and nervous system.
This test is outsourced to an external laboratory, which will assume liability over the test results and the information on these results given to patients.
