Today’s women need specific care involving different fields of action, in an open and functional hospital model, providing comprehensive healthcare in all stages of the reproductive process.

Genetics Unit

We can carry out genetic analysis applied to reproduction, genetic diagnosis of inherited diseases as well as genetic counselling; undertaking all the necessary tests at the centre itself without any need to refer any test to an external facility.

  • Genetic analysis in patients suffering from reproductive problems: Genetic study of Y chromosome microdeletions, genetic study of cystic fibrosis, sperm DNA fragmentation, FISH study of chromosomal abnormalities in sperm, etc.
  • Genetic analysis of gamete donors: Study of carriers of the most common genetic diseases.
  • Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD): It enables to perform the genetic study of the embryo before its transfer to the uterus in order to prevent some genetic diseases or disorders that may compromise the viability of the embryo.
  • Prenatal Genetic Diagnosis (PD): In the event of potential chromosomal alterations and/or family history with molecular genetic disease.
