Resume

Dr Héctor Rupérez Caballero has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of the city of Zaragoza, being during his training an internal student of the Chair of Biochemistry and Human Physiology.

After his degree he entered as a soldier in the Military Health Corps, which led him to become a doctor of various international missions under the auspices of the United Nations, obtaining among other prizes the Prince of Asturias Award of 1993 to the International cooperation.

He made his training as a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Central Military Hospital "Gómez Ulla of Madrid", highlighting in his training, the corresponding to the Knee Surgery (carried out under the direct supervision of Dr. D. Pedro Guillen García at the FREMAP Clinic in Majadahonda (Madrid)).

In addition, he also highlighted his training in spinal column surgery (under the supervision of Dr Jesús Burgos Flores) at the Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid, at the Children's Orthopedics Unit, both in classical techniques and in minimally invasive surgery. Currently he continues to collaborate in surgical sessions in Madrid, for which he moves at least once a month to perform surgical procedures.

After completing his specialization he arrives in Valencia, at the Military Hospital of Mislata, where he develops the Knee Unit (updating and enhancing what corresponds to the arthroscopic and prosthetic surgery of it).

Later he would also create the Column Unit of said Military Hospital.

Since his arrival in Valencia he has been part of the Head of the Spanish-French and Spanish Traumatology service in different international deployments in conflict zones such as Bosnia and Kosovo.

In 2006 he assumed the leadership of the Vertebral Column Unit of the Union of Mutual Societies, in which he currently develops his work, both in the fields of classical surgery and Minimally Invasive.
