The Hand Surgery Unit and Superior Member of the Traumatology Service of Quirónsalud Valencia Hospital is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and research of musculoskeletal injuries and diseases affecting the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder

It is formed by highly specialized orthopedic surgeons who complete the care of patients in a coordinated manner with the services of Rehabilitation and Rheumatology

The objective is to provide comprehensive and specialized care in pathologies that affect these joints and thus obtain the best result in the shortest possible time.

The hand and upper limb pathology, due to its complexity and specificity, requires a deep knowledge and a special dedication. Thanks to new technologies, great advances have been made both in the diagnosis and in the treatment of these injuries.

It stands out due to the specialization in minimally invasive surgery, such as hand, wrist and elbow arthroscopy and the endoscopic treatment of the most frequent nerve compression syndromes, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the entrapment of the ulnar nerve in the elbow. The members of the Unit are authors of numerous publications on the subject and creators of arthroscopic techniques for the treatment of wrist and elbow injuries.

Another aspect to be highlighted is the treatment of traumatic injuries of the hand, wrist and elbow, such as fractures at the elbow, wrist, scaphoid fractures, fractures of the phalanges and metacarpals, and repairs of tendinous and nervous lesions.

The members of the Unit are specialized in the treatment of sports and/or work injuries that affect the upper limb such as epicondylitis, tendon ruptures in the biceps in the elbow, tendon injuries of the shoulder, involvement of peripheral nerves, tendon injuries of the hand and complex fractures. They also employ the most advanced techniques for the treatment of degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis, arthritis and joint stiffness.
