Trained in Cardiology at the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital (Murcia), he worked as an assistant in cardiology at several hospitals (Sta. María del Rosell in Cartagena and Vega Baja in Alicante) before joining the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital again. There he worked mainly in imaging techniques, being one of the first in Europe to study the function and pathology of coronary arteries with an echocardiogram. In 2004 he began collaborating at the Hospital Quirónsalud Murcia (formerly Hospital San Carlos) working on imaging and clinical cardiology techniques.
