One of them is the consolidation of the Endocrine Surgery Unit promoted by recently-joined Doctor Dieter Morales García, a surgeon with vast international reputation.

Vast professional experience
Over 30 years of surgical activity support the professional career of Doctor Dieter Morales García. With a Degree in Medicine and Surgery awarded by the University of Cantabria (1991) and an Extraordinary Award received for his Degree, he became a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Cantabria (1997), and completed his Residency Training in General and Digestive Tract Surgery at University Hospital "Marqués de Valdecilla" in Santander (1993-1997) where he worked as a specialist until June 2021, later on joining the Endocrine Surgery Unit of University Hospital Virgen de la Victoria in Malaga. He is internationally recognised and qualified at the European Board of Endocrine Surgery and a national reference in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, with a special interest in the most avant-garde personalised treatments for cancer of the thyroid, as well as being one of the pioneers in outpatient major surgery (surgery without hospitalisation) in our country.
